Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Pre-Reservations Now Live: Here’s All You Need To Know

Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S22 series of smartphones globally yesterday on February 9, 2022. We know that series includes three models in its lineup: Galaxy S22. Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra. Now, the company has started taking pre-reservations for smartphones in India. Although they have not officially launched in India as of yet. But reports suggest it might happen soon.

Now, the new series comes as a successor to the Galaxy S21 lineup that launched last year. Moreover, the new Samsung flagship phones come with 120Hz AMOLED displays and a glass back. Interestingly, the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with an S Pen that is in the phone’s chassis — just like the Galaxy Note series.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series India Pre-Reservation Details

According to the site, the pre-reservings are live right now on the Samsung India site. The company is taking Rs. 1,999 as a refundable upfront price for pre-booking the flagship phones. Once pre-reserved, customers will get a pre-reserve VIP pass over email that can be used for buying the Galaxy S22 series at the time of their availability in the country.

However, the pre-reserve window is live only until February 21, 2022. Additionally, customers pre-reserving the phones are eligible to get a Galaxy SmartTag worth Rs. 2,699. But customers who have pre-reserving the Galaxy S22 series will be required to utilise their pre-reserve VIP pass by March 10, 2022.

“The coupon if not utilised till 23:59 hours on 10th Mar’22, will stand automatically cancelled and refund of the Pre-reserve VIP pass of amount Rs. 1,999 will be generated to your source account.”

Furthermore, the company has also provided the option to cancel the pre-reserve VIP pass and receive a 100 per cent refund of the amount paid during the pre-booking. Although one should note that the Indian pricing for the Galaxy S22 series is still a mystery along with its availability. However, the new phones will debut in select markets starting February 25, 2022.

Galaxy S22 Pricing

Globally, the Galaxy S22 starts from $799 (roughly Rs. 60,000) while the Galaxy S22+ costs $999 (approximately Rs. 75,000) for the base variant. The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ come in four colours: Phantom White, Phantom Black, Green, and Pink Gold. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, starts at $1,199 (approximately Rs. 90,000) and has three colourways; Burgundy, Phantom Black, Phantom White and Green.
