Recap The Launch Event
I attended their launch event at Primebook Office and explored new laptops as well as their journey. I talked with Chitranshu Mahant, CEO of Primebook, who shared the aim behind making these laptops. As you know, not everyone can afford a new and powerful laptop for just under ₹20,000. Whereas Chitranshu’s aim is that students, learners, freelancers, coders, creators, or young professionals should not be deprived of a new laptop due to a lack of budget.
I personally believe that the Primebook 2 Pro and Max models offer better displays, sound, and battery life compared to other laptops in a similar price range. These laptops are also capable of gaming and customised keymapping in their showcase, but I can’t guarantee that they are really capable of long and smooth gaming sessions without an in-depth review.
Moreover, Primebook offers an Android ecosystem with its own App store like Apple and has 50 thousand plus apps, as they claimed. A few AI features are also included, like a Live, on-screen, contextually-aware AI assistant powered by Gemini, which you can access through a single key on the Primebook keyboard.

Primebook 2 Pro And Primebook 2 Max Specs
Primebook 2 Pro and Primebook 2 Max have similar specs but differ in size and battery capacity. Its pro model offering a 14.1 Inch Full HD IPS Anti-glare display, while the Max variants come with a 15.6 Inch Full HD IPS Anti-glare display. Both laptops are based on PrimeOS 3.0 (Android 15-based) and powered by Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G99 (MT8781) to ensure smooth performance.
Talking about its RAM and storage, both models have 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB storage in the Pro model and 256GB in the Max variants. One of the best features of both laptops is that users get a 1440P camera, Dual Stereo speakers, Dual microphones with Noise Cancellation, and backlit keys, which is rare in laptops, considering the price range.
Moving to the battery life, its Pro models offer up to 14 hours of backup, and Max models offer up to 12 hours of backup, which is quite appealing. Moreover, both models have several ports like Dual USB-A, USB-C, Type-C Fast Charging, 3.5mm audio jack, MicroSD slot (up to 1 TB), and Kensington Lock.

The Primebook 2 Pro price in India is ₹17,990, and the Primebook 2 Max costs ₹19,990. You can buy them in the Chill Grey colour only.
