POCO has started teasing the POCO X8 in India. A dedicated Flipkart microsite is now live, confirming that the phone will be sold through the platform. The launch date is still under wraps, but the phone could arrive in India soon.
The POCO X8 is expected to sit below the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max. It could also bring a much larger battery than its more expensive siblings.
Poco X8 Launch Details
The Flipkart launch teaser reveals the POCO X8 rear design. It shows a square camera module with rounded corners and two vertically placed cameras. An LED flash sits beside the lenses.

POCO has not confirmed the full specifications yet. However, leaks suggest the phone could be priced between Rs 28,000 and Rs 30,000.

POCO X8 Expected Specifications
- Chipset: Snapdragon 6s Gen 4
- Battery: 9,000mAh
- Rear cameras: Dual-camera setup
- Expected price: Rs 28,000-Rs 30,000
- Sale platform: Flipkart
- Expected launch: Early September
The POCO X8 could launch alongside the POCO X8 Power. The latter is tipped to feature a 10,000mAh battery and could target buyers who want even longer battery life.
POCO has not confirmed the launch date or the remaining specifications. So details such as the display, charging speed, RAM and storage are still unknown.
POCO X8 Could Focus on Battery Life
The reported 9,000mAh battery could become the biggest selling point of the POCO X8. For comparison, the X8 Pro has a 6,500mAh battery, while the X8 Pro Max packs an 8,500mAh cell.
This would give the upcoming X8 a bigger battery than both Pro models. However, the final experience will also depend on factors such as charging speed, phone weight and efficiency.
The reported price could also put the POCO X8 in an interesting position. The X8 Pro currently starts at Rs 39,999, while the X8 Pro Max starts at Rs 49,999. A Rs 28,000-Rs 30,000 price would give POCO a new option between its M-series and premium X-series phones.
For now, the POCO X8 remains an upcoming device. POCO is yet to confirm its price, launch date and full specifications. More details should emerge as the India launch gets closer.
