Poco X5 5G will soon make its debut in Indian and US markets. The smartphone has reportedly received approval from the Bureau of India Standards (BIS) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The Poco X4 series was earlier this year as the successor to the Poco X3 series. With the launch of the Poco X4 GT and Poco X4 Pro 5G models. While the latest certification website database reports state that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has already begun working on its successor in the Poco X5 series. This series will include the Poco X5 5G as its first model in the lineup.

BIS And FCC Certifications

As per the report by MySmartPrice, the upcoming smartphone has been seen on the BIS and FCC certification database websites with model numbers 22101320I and 22101320G. The FCC spotting has suggested some specifications of the upcoming model in terms of software, battery, design, and connectivity.

Specifications Of Poco X5 5G Based On Databases

But, the BIS citing has not showcased any specifications of the device model number 33101320I. That is expected to be the Indian variant of the Poco X5 5G smartphone.

As hinted by the FCC, the new model is suggested to run on MIUI 14. It is hinted to come with a rectangular cutout to place its camera module. The smartphone may support dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity. While, it even supports 6 bands of 5G connectivity in the n5, n7, n38, n41, n77, and n78 bands.

It is said to come packed with a 4900mAh battery backup. But according to a report, it may be marketed as a 5,000mAh smartphone.

It is even hinted to offer an IPS LCD panel display. This may offer a 120Hz refresh rate. It is even tipped to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.

India’s chief Himanshu Tandon has tweeted on Twitter to crush claims that the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G will launch in India as a rebranded POCO smartphone.

He even hinted at the launch of the rumoured smartphone in India. However, Poco has not clarified anything about the upcoming smartphone.
