  • OnePlus 11R users in India have started receiving a new software update as OxygenOS 16 begins rolling out with the latest security improvements. The update carries the build version CPH2487_16.0.3.501(EX01) and makes the device the first smartphone to receive the March 2026 Android security patch.

The update focuses on system security, improved app organisation, and new privacy tools. According to the company, the rollout has just started in the India region and will gradually reach all eligible devices over the next one to two weeks. Users in other regions may need to wait a little longer as the company has not yet announced a global release timeline. So, here is what this update brings for OnePlus 11R.

Two new categories have been added:

    • Office
    • Finance

These additions help separate productivity and financial apps from other categories, making the interface cleaner and easier to navigate. The update also improves overall system stability while delivering the latest Android security protections.

New Privacy Tools In Private Safe

Privacy is another key focus of this update. The new software introduces several improvements to the Private Safe feature, which is designed to protect sensitive files and documents.

    Users can now:

    • Browse files in Private Safe using the side slider
    • Search files directly inside folders stored in Private Safe
    • Share files stored in Private Safe more easily

These changes aim to make file management within the secure space faster and more convenient while maintaining strong privacy protection.

The rollout has just begun, so it may take some time before all users receive the update notification. If users encounter issues after installing the update, they can report problems through the OnePlus Community app by submitting a report in the Bug Report section of their profile.

Users in India can also send feedback directly by dialing *#800#, which opens the system feedback tool.
