Oppo Reno 7 5G Series India Launch Expected Soon

Oppo launched the Oppo Reno 7 5G series smartphone back in November 2021 in China. It consists of three devices – Oppo Reno 7 SE, Oppo Reno 7, and Oppo Reno 7 Pro in its lineup. Now, the company seems to be gearing up to launch the Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro handsets in India. Earlier reports also suggested the series might launch in India by the January 2022 end. In a new development, a micro-site for this series India launch has gone live on the Oppo India website and e-commerce platform – Flipkart.

Oppo Reno 7 5G Landing Page Live, Teased

In a tweet, Oppo India says that the Reno 7 series will be launching in India soon. Moreover, it is also confirmed via a microsite that the phones in the series will retail on Flipkart. The microsite has also revealed that the phone will get “World’s first Sony IMX709 Ultra-Sensing Sensor” (32-megapixel) which has been customised by Oppo. In addition, a 1/1.56-inch “Flagship Sony IMX766 Sensor” (50-megapixel). These sensors are present in the Oppo Reno 7 Pro smartphone. Oppo has also started teasing the Oppo Reno 7 series launch on its official website.

Now, as we know already, Oppo Reno 7 5G has already launched in China back in 2021. We have quite an idea of its specs and pricing. Moreover, a report had earlier revealed that the Reno 7 will cost between Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 31,000 in India. Whereas the Reno 7 Pro will come between Rs. 41,000 to Rs. 43,000.

Starting off with the vanilla model, it will come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED 90Hz display. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. In addition, the octa-core chipset pairs up with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Moving to optics, the device sports a 64-megapixel primary rear sensor alongside an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. At the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. We get to see a 4,500mAh battery with 60W fast charging support.

Meanwhile, the Reno 7 Pro comes with slightly upgraded specs. It features a bigger 6.55-inch display with the same refresh rate and specs. Moreover, it also sports the same camera setup but instead of a 64-megapixel sensor, we get to see the 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor. It also offers the same selfie sensor. The battery capacity of both devices is also the same. However, the Reno 7 Pro brings a slightly faster 65W fast charging support to the table. Also, both the devices run on Android 11 with the ColorOS 12 custom skin on top.
