The iQOO 16 launch could happen sooner than expected. A new leak suggests that iQOO may introduce its next flagship smartphone in September, alongside a new compact performance-focused tablet. Both products are expected to use Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, putting them in line to compete with other high-end devices launching later this year.
The leak claims the iQOO 16 and the new iQOO mini tablet will arrive in September. iQOO has not officially confirmed the launch date yet, so the information should be treated as a leak for now.
iQOO 16 May Bring A 165Hz 2K+ Display
The iQOO 16 is expected to receive several major upgrades over its predecessor. The phone could feature a large flat display with a high refresh rate, while the rear design may also get a fresh look.
Expected specifications include:

• Display: 6.85-inch 2K+ flat display, with 165Hz refresh rate, and Next generation Samsung display technology
• Processor: Qualcomm sixth generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
• Camera: 50-megapixel main camera with 1/1.3 inch sensor and F1.68 aperture, 50-megapixel ultra wide camera with F2.0 aperture, and 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 1/1.95 inch sensor and F2.65 aperture
• New square camera module on the rear
The camera system could become one of the biggest highlights of the iQOO 16. The combination of three 50MP cameras and a larger periscope sensor could improve both everyday photography and long range shots.
iQOO Mini Tablet Could Focus On Gaming
Alongside the smartphone, iQOO is reportedly preparing a compact tablet designed for performance and gaming. It could use the same sixth generation Snapdragon 8 Elite platform and feature a high resolution OLED screen.
The tablet is rumored to offer:
• 2.8K OLED display
• High refresh rate
• Slim bezels
• Metal unibody design
• Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor
• Square rear camera module
• Built in cooling fan
The built in fan could help the tablet maintain performance during demanding games and heavy workloads.
While the iQOO 16 launch is tipped for September, iQOO has not confirmed either device. The exact launch date, pricing and availability should become clearer as September approaches.
