Apple users are in for a new OS update soon, as Apple has started the testing of iOS 18.3. This new update is not bringing major changes but will look upon bug fixes and interesting tweaks. The developers were given this update on December 16 and we are expecting its public release very soon. Apple’s previous updates were mainly focused on bringing in new and big features. But, iOS 18.3 beta update will aim to focus on small yet important improvements.

The most important update feature with this is the support for robot vacuum to HomeKit. Thus, it will help you handle it with Siri, monitor the status, and set up automation. Moreover, the company claims that the Home app will handle the basic functions like checking the status, turning the vacuum on or off, toggling between cleaning modes, etc.
Furthermore, the other feature of iOS 18.3 is the fixing of bugs. Apple has worked on two important and visible issues with Apple Intelligence. The first fix caters to the Genmojis, which were earlier not generating properly. The second fix is the third party apps can offer full inline experience while using the Writing Tools API.
The Accessibility Settings will also see an upgrade with the Camera Control menu working effectively in the dark mode. Also, the users can log in to the Facebook App using Face ID or Touch ID instead of typing the password every time.
Finally, it will be early to conclude as Apple might add more features to the iOS 18.3 update as the beta testing is going on.
Expected Launch Timeline
Apple users can expect this latest update to be available in late January of 2025. This is a speculation based on Apple’s previous releases. Like, iOS 17.3 arrived on January 22, 2024, iOS 16.3 came on January 23, 2023, and iOS 15.3 was unveiled on January 26, 2022. So, considering this timeline our speculation may stand right.
