  • HMD has teased the launch of its first phone in India on April 29, 2024. The company recently introduced its HMD Pulse series globally, focusing on self-repairability. The series includes the HMD Pulse, HMD Pulse Pro, and HMD Pulse+. Although the company has not confirmed the name of the phone it will introduce in India, it does tease the arrival of its first self-branded phone in the country.

    HMD has announced that it will introduce its first phone in India on April 29, 2024. The company has also asked its followers to suggest a name for the upcoming smartphone.

    In addition, HMD has announced a partnership with IPL Team Rajasthan Royals and posted a video asking its followers to guess what the team is discussing. While the details of the upcoming phone in India haven’t been revealed, it could be the HMD Pulse series, which recently debuted globally.

    HMD Pulse Features

    The HMD Pulse phone Series includes the Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro, which could debut in India soon. All three phones rely on the UniSOC T606 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.

    Furthermore, they ship with Android 14 out of the box and boast a 6.65-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, these pack a 5,000mAh battery and dual camera setup on the back.

    In addition, the HMD Pulse features a 13-megapixel dual camera setup, while the HMD Pulse Plus has a 50-megapixel dual camera setup. Similarly, the HMD Pulse Pro+ boasts a 50-megapixel primary and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.

    The HMD Pulse phone launched for €140 globally and could cost around Rs.12,464 in India. It will be on sale in Dreamy Pink and Meteor Black. Furthermore, the HMD Pulse Pro retails for €160 (around Rs.14,245) and will be available in Apricot Crush and Midnight Blue.
