Here’s When Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X Launch Can Happen: Here’s What We Know

Xiaomi 12 series rumours are surfacing online once again. According to a new leak, both the Xiaomi 12X and 12 can launch sometime next month. Although rumours of its launch and specifications have been making rounds online for quite some time now. But from what we gathered, the company is planning to launch these smartphones in the series in coming months. However, this new leak hints that two of the phones in the lineup might just launch during the event in December 2021.

Rumoured Specifications of Xiaomi 12X

It is bearing a model number 2112123AC in the Chinese market. Whereas, it will bear model number 2112123G for the rest of the world. The smartphone also recently surfaced on the IMEI database website. In addition, the phone listed on the website as Xiaomi 12X unveiling the official name of the smartphone.

Meanwhile, rumours also hint that the Xiaomi 12X is the phone which powers on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. A recent leak by Kacper Skrzypek hinted that it has the codename Pysche and shared some specs for the smartphone. It will feature a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. It will also offer a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10 certified display. The smartphone could also leave the side-mounted fingerprint scanner for an in-display fingerprint scanner. Although the RAM and storage configurations are yet to be revealed, the smartphone will run on a reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. Kacper also confirmed that the smartphone will have a 50-megapixel primary camera.

Apart from this, Xiaomi 12 the flagship variant of the series – is also in the launch lineup during this event. Let’s look at what we know of the smartphone as of now. From the leaks, we can assume that it may power on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen1 architecture. Xiaomi 12 is also expecting to keep Xiaomi’s traditional triple camera arrangement. A similar camera setup is in Redmi K30S, however, the Mi 11 also features three rear-facing cameras.

Both Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X could feature curved displays and symmetrical speakers. Xiaomi 12 could also come with a full-HD+ (1,080×2,400) AMOLED display this year, with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is a step down from the Mi 11 – which featured a 1440p display. The handset could also sport a 50-megapixel primary camera and support along with 100W fast charging, according to previous reports.
