CMF Phone (1) Will Be 1st Phone To Use This Processor In India

CMF has announced the specifications and features of its budget smartphone, the CMF by Nothing Phone (1), ahead of its official launch in India on July 8, 2024. Furthermore, the company has also revealed the specifications and price of the CMF Phone (1) in India. Here is everything you need to know about the CMF Phone (1) before its launch.

CMF Phone (1) Processor And Price Segment Revealed

The CMF Phone (1) will be the 1st phone to use the Dimensity 7300 processor in the country. This chipset is based on a 4nm fabrication process by TSMC and has eight performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four efficiency cores running at 2GHz.

CMF claims it has an AnTuTu score of 6,73,000 and can shoot 4K videos at 30 FPS. It can power WQFHD+ screens at 120Hz and FHD+ screens at 144Hz, beating its competitors like Snapdragon 782G, Dimensity 7050 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.

The CMF Phone (1) will cost less than Rs.20,000 and feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Moreover, CMF claims it is “one of the fastest and most efficient smartphones in the segment”.

In addition, the CMF Phone (1) will offer a Super AMOLED screen with uniform bezels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also have a peak brightness of 2000 nits and a flat-screen.

The Phone (1) will be available with a vegan leather back that users can remove using screwdrivers. Moreover, the device will have a rotating dial that can be used to control its volume, camera and other functions.

The CMF Phone (1) will be available in Black, Green, Blue, and Orange, with the orange one exclusive to India. The 6GB+128GB variant will cost Rs. 15,999, and the 8GB+128GB model will cost Rs. 17,999 with bank discounts.

Phone (1) Expected Specifications

The CMF Phone (1) will feature a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, symmetrical bezels, and a peak brightness of 2000 nits.

The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 will power the phone with up to 8GB of RAM. It will ship with Nothing OS based on Android 14 and offer up to 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD card. The CMF Phone (1) will receive two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.

You get a 50-megapixel Sony primary camera and a secondary depth sensor for optics. In addition, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It can shoot videos with 4K at 30 FPS, although no OIS exists.
