BGMI 3.1 Update Will Drop Support For These Android & iOS Devices

Krafton will soon introduce a new 3.1 update for BGMI players with an Arabian Nights theme offering new features, gameplay elements and more. However, the company has made an important announcement ahead of the release that it is dropping certain for some Android and iOS phones. BGMI 3.1 Update Will Not Support These iOS And Android Versions

According to an announcement by Krafton, the upcoming BGMI 3.1 update will not support devices running on Android 4.4 and iOS 10 or below. It means players using these operating systems will no longer be able to play the game and will need to update their software or buy a new device.

This is due to the upgraded Helpshift, which will arrive with the update for better customer support. However, the end of support is unlikely to affect a large number of players as Android 14 and iOS 17 are the latest versions.

Android 4.4 was released 11 years ago in 2013, while iOS 10 arrived 8 years ago in 2016. Given that most users are unlikely to use a device this old in 2024, the end of support with the BGMI 3.1 won’t affect many users.

Ending support for these older versions allows Krafton to optimize BGMI for newer phones and provide a smooth gameplay experience. Furthermore, these new Android and iOS versions have better features, security patches, and compatibility with the latest games.

3.1 Update Delayed

Krafton also revealed the upcoming BGMI 3.1 update and apologized to users for the inconvenience. Reports suggest the new date for the BGMI 3.1 update will likely be March 27, 2024.

The BGMI 3.1 Update will bring plenty of new features, including the Arabian Nights theme, which features flying carpets and floating islands. It will add a new upgraded P90, A6 Royale Pass with new outfits, Nimbus Island, teleportation portals and more.
