Bharti Airtel has confirmed that Wynk Music will shut down by the end of 2024, with users being transitioned to free Apple Music through special promotional offers. Wynk Music was launched by Bharti Airtel in 2014. There were record more than 100,000 downloads in just four days after the debut.

In January 2024, Wynk App has achieved an impressive milestone of 100 million installs. However, in August 2024, Apple announced its partnership with Bharti Airtel and revealed the shut down of Wynk Music by the end of 2024.

In this strategic partnership, Apple will offer free music to Airtel subscribers along with Apple TV+ services.

Apple’s Offer For Subscribers

Airtel is rolling out an exclusive “Apple Music” promotion for its prepaid and postpaid customers. To check eligibility, users can visit the Manage page on the Airtel Thanks app. The offer grants eligible customers up to 6 months of complimentary Apple Music subscription. After the free period, postpaid customers will be charged Rs 119 per month, provided they opt into the Apple Music “Add to Bill” feature. The promotion is available to both Android and iOS users.
