The modified Samsung Galaxy A32 5G with a whopping 30,000mAh battery capacity has been making waves on the internet lately. The modification was done by a Reddit user, Downtown_Cranberry44, who swapped out the internal battery for an external pack made up of six parallel-wired Samsung 50E cells, each with a capacity of 5,000mAh.
For reference, no modern-day smartphone comes with a battery capacity even near this. In India, the maximum battery capacity smartphone supports 7,000 mAh. Samsung in terms of battery capacity has the best track record so far as it has the most number of smartphones offering battery capacity above 5,000 mAh.

How The User Expanded The Battery
The user posted on Reddit – “I replaced the internal battery of the handset with six Samsung 50E cells wired in parallel to make one 30,000 mAh battery.” However, in the settings bar the phone still displays the original battery capacity of the handset.
How Does The Modified Phone Look
The customised phone’s remarkable battery capacity comes at a cost as the external battery pack is hefty and weighs more than 450 grams. It is double the device’s original weight. Moreover, the modified phone also has several charging connectors, including two USB-A, one USB-C, micro USB, and Lightning ports.
According to the user, the 30,000mAh battery takes seven hours to charge fully and may last up to a week. Initially, the battery lasted two days with heavy use, the user posted. The updated phone, however, no longer acknowledges the extra battery pack and continuously reports a 1 per cent battery level.
Samsung Galaxy A32 Original Battery
The original handset, in contrast, comes with a 5,000mAh battery and 15W fast-charging support. The smartphone can offer up to two days of battery life on moderate usage. Including running the smartphone in 90Hz mode, web browsing, and other basic tasks.
While the customised Samsung Galaxy A32 5G may not be particularly attractive. But it serves as an example of the great lengths some users would go to extend the battery life of their smartphone. With increasing reliance on smartphones in our daily lives, longer battery life is becoming more crucial than ever before.
