Honor 9C

Honor, which is the sub-brand of Huawei, has come up with some of the latest smartphones in the Indian smartphone market from last few years with more focus on processing power and camera quality. Although the smartphone brand faced a scare last year with denied access from Google, the brand has jumped back and launched the latest device, the Honor 9C, in its 2020 catalogue. Let us check all the features of this new smartphone one by one for getting a clear idea of what is being offered this time.   

Honor 9C Price in India

Honor 9C is an affordable-range smartphone from the brand and promises all-round performance to the users who can’t afford the high or mid-range devices. The lone variant from Honor, featuring 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs.12,990. Honor 9C is available in three colour variants and those are Midnight Black and Aurora Blue. Honor 9C is going to hit the Indian smartphone market in the upcoming month.

The front side of Honor 9C is featuring an IPS panel with punch-hole positioned at the top left side and a noticeable chin at below. The right side is featuring the volume rockers along with the power button and the bottom side is featuring a USB 2.0 charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Honor 9C is measuring 159.81mm in length, 76.13mm in width and 8.13 mm in thickness. Along with a huge battery, the smartphone is weighing 176 grams.

The Honor 9C comes with a familiar design with a polycarbonate rear panel, featuring a glossy finish and a gradient pattern. The rear panel is mounted with a triple-lens camera placed vertically on the top right side with an LED flash below it. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the backside.

The smartphone hosts a 6.39-inch IPS LCD touch-screen, featuring TUV Rheinland certification for filtering out the blue light and 90% screen-to-body ratio for ensuring large screen area. Honor 9C is offering a display with 720 pixels of resolution for sharp visuals and the pixel density features by the smartphone display is 269PPI for providing decent colours.

Honor 9C is powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 710A chipset and clubbed with 4GB RAM for handling all the tasks. The onboard internal storage of the smartphone is 64GB and can be expanded up to 512GB with the help of a microSD card. For increasing the gaming performance there is Turbo 3.0 GPU.

Holding its software vision, Honor has polished and refined it over the years and the smartphone is running on the company’s EMUI 9.1.1 Custom UI. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone sports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 2.4GHz.  

On the rear side, Honor 9C comes with the triple camera setup, featuring a 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8, the wide-angle shooter of 8MP and 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera supports video shooting up to 1080p.

On the front side, the smartphone comes with an 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0, placed under the tiny punch-hole.

Honor 9C comes with a modest 4000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery. There is no fast charging option available in the device, so it might take some time to refill such a large battery from 0% to 100%. The theoretical standby time comprises 8.9 hours of Triple-A gaming, 13.3 hours of video streaming, 80 hours of non-stop calling and 200 hours of standby time.  For connecting the charger, there is a USB 2.0 port included in the device.

Honor 9C is a nice-looking smartphone with a sturdy and neat design along with a stunning camera setup under 15K price range. The smartphone comes with a neat UI, which is easy to manage and comes with a decent chipset. The battery life is decent enough to last for the whole day. If your budget is low and you wish to have a nice camera phone with a large battery backup, then Honor 9C is good to go with.
