Xiaomi Mi CC9e

The budget king Xiaomi arrived with a budget version of the CC9. Priced at Rs. 14,090, the Xiaomi Mi CC9e could be a great product to go for if you are someone who wants a low priced phone with many of the mid-range specifications.

The CC9e comes with an AMOLED screen and a premium look. Plus, it pairs the processor and the battery in a way that provides mid-range performance. However, the phone looks a lot like the CC9 and hence, can be disappointing for people wanting something a tad bit different.

The Xiaomi Mi CC9e looks a lot like the CC9. If you flip the phone, you get an attractive back, which is shiny. It fits comfortably in your hand. The phone has a vertical camera stack at one corner, and it is a triple-camera stack. The phone looks decent and is comfortable though it does not have an impressive design. You might have seen this similar design on many other Xiaomi phones. It has the dimensions of 153.48 X 71.85 X 8.474mm and a weight of 173.8g, which is quite decent.

The Xiaomi Mi CC9e packs a 6.088-inch screen with a 19.5:9 AMOLED waterdrop display. The phone, however, is not Full HD and comes with a resolution of 1560X720. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner, which is quite snappy. However, due to the lack of Full HD, you will see a drop in the vibrancy of the phone, which OLED screens offer. The battery will be more efficient. However, you will not have the immersive experience that QHD phones tend to present.

The phone arrives with a mid-range Snapdragon 665. The Snapdragon 665 is a reliable processor which is quite power-efficient as well. Hence, you can run multiple apps on this phone without seeing it slow down or freeze. However, when you are going for games, you cannot run high-end games in Ultra High presets. The phone can run PUBG, but it will run in medium presets. Even then, you can face a few frame drops.

The front camera of the CC9e is fantastic. It comes with a 32MP selfie camera that can click amazing photos. You can even upload your high-quality selfies on Instagram. On the rear, the phone arrives with a 48MP primary camera, a supporting 8MP camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. In daylight, the phone can click decent photos with plenty of details. The colours appear bright while the camera autofocus works fast, as well. However, in low-light conditions, the phone begins to falter a little, producing grainy images.

The phone comes with a 4020 mAh of battery. In general, it is standard in 2019 to have at least 4000 mAh, making this is a decent addition. The phone can keep chugging for an entire day without giving up. The phone also has fast charging, so you can get the phone charged up to a decent amount pretty quick. Due to the low-resolution display, the battery does not get drained quickly either.

The CC9e seems like a demoted version of the CC9. While you do retain a few its looks and the OLED screen, in comparison, the CC9e does shed off a few features. It has a decent enough power, and the selfie camera can click killer selfies. The CC9e can be a decent mid-range phone, but its similarities to its big brother CC9 makes it a very disappointing and almost unnecessary addition in the smartphone world.
