WhatsApp Working on New Community Tab
According to a report by feature trackerWABetaInfo, the Meta-owned messaging service is currently working on a new tab for its Communities feature that is under development. Spotted on the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.6.9, the new tab replaces the camera tab at the top of the app, according to a screenshot by the feature tracker. Users on the latest beta version won’t be able to see the new Community tab at the moment as it’s still under development.

Now, the Community tab on the platform is apparently a shortcut for the under-development ‘Community Home’ feature on WhatsApp. Communities may be end-to-end, private spaces that allow group admins to better manage their groups. But WhatsApp is yet to officially reveal any information related to the feature.
Meanwhile, as per Wabetainfo, WhatsApp has now introduced a new pause button that will let users stop a recording and then later resume it. The new feature now lets users go to other chats while listening to voice notes. The feature has already been rolled out to certain beta testers. It will also be available to beta testers after installing the new WhatsApp Business beta for the Android 2.22.6.7 update.
