Vivo’s latest operating system, Origin OS 5 has been introduced in China. This new update is based on Android 15 and offers features like dynamic effects, home, and lock screen customization, and upgraded Little V assistant. Vivo will release the beta version of this upgrade to the public in November for the Vivo and iQOO devices.

The AI features of this upgrade will also release with Vivo Origin OS 5, like real-time transition, writing tools, video editing, etc. This update comes after Vivo and iQOO introduced the Funtouch OS 15 update globally, thus introducing Android 15 to the devices.
Enhanced Features And Capabilities
The most significant addition to Vivo Origin OS 5 release is an upgraded Little V assistant. This works similar to Google’s Circle-to-Search function, wherein the user highlights a part of the screen with a circle and can look information about it on the web. Moreover, Vivo’s assistant can take calls on your behalf and also summarise it or take notes. Other tools it introduces is Vivo Documents, Atom Notes, and emails.
The user can also change the look and feel of the OS using different colors, layouts, materials, and depth effects. Vivo has launched Mood Wallpaper 2.0, featuring two unique wallpapers: Fireworks Moment and Scenery of Mountains and Sea. These wallpapers use AI-driven character recognition to adjust the background scenery in real time, adapting to the time of day and weather conditions for a more immersive experience.
Additionally, the vivo Sans Typeface has been refined for better readability. Vivo has also expanded language support by introducing the Greek and Cyrillic writing systems, now covering up to 26 languages. So, stay tuned for the Vivo Origin OS 5 release!
