It has been some time since Realme announced the Realme 9 5G and Realme 9 5G SE in India. Their Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ have been on sale in India for quite some time and the customer reception has been quite good. A new phone of the Realme 9 series would be coming next month. However, the company has not made any clarifications regarding the name of the new model.
The new phone might end up being called Realme 9 4G if it supports only 4G bands, or even Realme 9 SuperZoom if it is a camera-centric smartphone. Other than the fact that Realme is planning to launch a 9 Series phone next month, we know nothing more. However, we can expect it to be similar to the recently launched Realme 9 5G or the 9 SE in some aspects.

Both these phones featured a triple camera systems with 48MP primary sensors. Sadly, nothing can be said about the specifications of this mysterious smartphone. Moreover, the moniker of the device is based off of just mere assumptions. So, nothing concrete to back up the claims either.
However, we can take Realme’s latest 5G release and see what it comes with. This way, we may get an idea about what the upcoming device has to offer. Of course, if it is a 4G device, there will be a change in the processor. But, going by how 4G variants mostly work, everything else shall remain the same.

The latest Realme 9 5G phone comes with a a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. It has a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz sampling rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. It has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera with a 90.5 percent screen to body ratio.
The phone is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset and comes with up to 6GB RAM and up to 5GB of virtual RAM. The phone comes with up to 128GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. For security, the Realme 9 5G comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone runs Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11 out-of-the-box.

The phone comes with a triple camera setup – a 48MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens and a pair of 2MP sensors. Connectivity features of the phone includes 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. It also has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It is available in Meteor Black and Stargaze White colors and starts at Rs.14,999.
