Xiaomi is rolling out a new software update for the POCO M2 that includes an Android 11 upgrade as well as MIUI 12.5. Last year, the POCO M2 was released with Android 10 and MIUI 12. According to RootMyGalaxy, the Android 11 update for the POCO M2 comes with firmware version V12.5.1.0.RJRINXM. According to the changelog, the smartphone will receive a performance boost. MIUI 12.5 is lighter, faster, and more stable than MIUI 12, so the phone will respond to gestures faster. The Xiaomi POCO M2 will almost certainly receive custom tuning tailored to the device’s hardware, making the overall experience snappier.
