OnePlus is planning to release its next flagship phone, the OnePlus 12, early next year. The OnePlus 12 will be the successor to the OnePlus 11, and the company has revealed some of the camera specifications ahead of its launch.
OnePlus 12 Camera Will Use Sony LYTIA Sensor
OnePlus has revealed the camera of the upcoming OnePlus 12 will use the new Sony LYTIA dual-layer stacked CMOS sensor.

The company has designed the sensor in collaboration with Sony, and it claims to offer “a new future for mobile imaging”. This will likely be the same sensor found on the recently launched OnePlus Open.
According to previous leaks, the OnePlus 12 will sport a Sony LYT-T808 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 ultrawide lens.

Furthermore, the phone will also have a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B camera with 3x optical zoom and hybrid zoom capabilities.
OnePlus President Li Jie Louis also shared camera samples taken from the phone on Weibo. He shared three photos of a coffee shop taken from different camera angles, highlighting the photography prowess of the phone.
OnePlus 12 Expected Specifications
The OnePlus confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will power the phone. It will also feature a new BOE “Oriental Screen” with Display Mate A+ certification.

Furthermore, this screen will have a 2K resolution and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The OnePlus 12 will have up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The OnePlus 12 will run on OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14. The phone is likely to pack a 5,400mAH battery with support for 100W charging and 50W wireless charging.
