The Moto G50 5G has been launched in Australia. The new smartphone from the Lenovo-owned company comes with a triple rear camera layout, led by a 48-megapixel primary sensor, and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that may last up to two days, according to the company. The Moto G50 5G has a fingerprint scanner on the side and supports NFC for contactless payments. On the back, the Moto G50 5G boasts a square-shaped camera module and a waterdrop-style notch display.

The Moto G50 5G is available in a single 4GB + 128GB storage option for AUD 399 (approximately Rs. 21,500). The Meteorite Grey colour option for the smartphone has been launched and is available for purchase on the Lenovo Australia website.

Specifications and Features

The Moto G50 5G is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Android 11. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display having 269ppi pixel density, a screen-to-body ratio of 85 per cent, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The hybrid microSD card slot can be used to expand the storage (up to 1TB).

A 48-megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture make up the Moto G50 5G’s triple rear camera configuration. A single LED flash accompanies the camera layout on the back. Macro video, slow motion video, timelapse, hyper-lapse, and spot colour are some of the rear camera modes. The phone includes a 13-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture on the front.

The Moto G50 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. It claims to have a battery life of up to two days. The phone comes with a 10W charger in the package. The fingerprint sensor is on the side of the device, just below the power button. USB Type-C port, NFC, Wi-Fi ac, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v5, GPS, 5G, and other connectivity options are available. The phone is 206 grams in weight and measures 167×76.4×9.26mm.
