Xiaomi is all set to launch its highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi Band 8 smart wearable device on April 18, 2023. The Mi Band 8 will be the successor to the Mi Band 7. It will arrive in the global market alongside the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone. The Mi Band 8 is likely to come with some functional improvements over its predecessor, and certain redesigns.
The Mi Band 8 will come with a pill-shaped dial with an AMOLED display. And instead of wrap-around bands as seen on previous models, the Mi Band 8’s strap attaches to the wearable on both sides. Xiaomi co-founder and CEO Lei Jun confirmed through his Weibo account that the upcoming Mi Band 8 can be fashioned in multiple ways, including being worn as a necklace.

Mi Band 8: Specifications
The Mi Band 8 will offer basic activity-tracking features such as continuous blood oxygen monitoring and low SpO2 alarms. Along with all-day heart rate tracking, sleep tracking, and stress monitoring. It is most likely to offer identical features as the Mi Band 7. However, a report by Android Authority suggests that the company may also launch a Pro model of the Mi Band 8. The standard model will likely provide GPS connectivity via a connected phone, while the Pro model may include inbuilt GPS. However, the Chinese variant of the Mi Band 8 may vary from its global variants, the report adds.
The launch of the Mi Band 8 alongside the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone has generated a lot of excitement among Xiaomi fans. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone will feature Leica-branded cameras with special Summicron lenses and Sony IMX989 and Sony IMX858 sensors. With the launch of these two devices, Xiaomi is set to reinforce its position as a leading player in the technology market.
