As successors to the iQoo 7 series from January, iQoo 8 and iQoo 8 Pro have now launched in China. The two phones have a number of improvements over the previous version. Both the smartphones will have triple rear cameras and are available in BMW M Motorsport colour schemes. The vanilla iQoo 8 is available in three different finishes, however, the iQoo 8 Pro is only available in two. They also have 10-bit colour displays with a high 120Hz  refresh rate.

iQoo 8, iQoo 8 Pro: Price

The 8GB + 128GB storage option of the iQoo 8 costs CNY 3,799 (approximately Rs. 43,600). The price of the 12GB + 256GB storage variant is CNY 4,199. (roughly Rs. 48,200). The phone is available in two colours: Legendary Edition with the BMW M Motorsport colour scheme and Black colour variant.

The iQoo 8 Pro 8GB + 256GB storage model costs CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 57,300), the 12GB + 256GB storage model costs CNY 5,499 (about Rs. 63,100), and the 12GB + 512GB storage model costs CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 68,800). Legendary Edition and Track Version are the two finishes available.

Both phones are currently up for pre-orders in China. The standard model will go on sale starting from August 24th while the Pro will be on sale from August 26th.

iQoo 8 Specifications

The iQOO 8 has a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display having a resolution of 1,080 x 2,376 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a screen-to-body ratio of 92.76, 398 PPI, and a 19:8:9 aspect ratio. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with Adreno 660 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage power the phone. The smartphone runs on Android 11 with iQOO’s OriginOS 1.0 on top. 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C connector are among the connectivity options.

The smartphone optics include a 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor with an f/1.79 lens, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 lens, and a 13MP portrait lens with f/2.46 aperture on the back. For security, there’s a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture, as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock. It includes a 4,350mAh battery that charges quickly at 120W. It weighs 199.9 grams and measures 159.06×75.14×8.63mm.

iQoo 8 Pro Specifications

The 6.78-inch 2K (1,440×3,200 pixels) AMOLED display on the iQoo 8 Pro has a 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 92.2 per cent screen-to-body ratio, 517ppi pixel density, and HDR compatibility. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC is combined with the Adreno 660 GPU to power the phone. Up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage is available.

The Pro model has a 50-megapixel IMX766V sensor with an f/1.75 lens and gimbal stabilisation for photographs and videos, as well as a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens and a 16-megapixel portrait camera with an f/2.23 aperture for portraits. For selfies and video calls, the iQoo 8 Pro boasts a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

An ultrasonic 3D wide-area in-display fingerprint sensor is included in the Pro model. It also has a larger 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging options. The phone’s dimensions are 165.01×75.2×9.19mm, and it weighs 202.5 grams.
