According to reports, Apple plans to release new iPad Pro versions with an M2 CPU in a “matter of days.” According to Apple expert and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, the new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models will most likely be available by the end of this month. According to the expert, the new tablets could be released by October 27, 2022. The M2 chipset was first seen on the MacBook Air 2022, which was released earlier this year.

According to the source, the iPad Pro with M2 would look similar to its predecessor. That implies we’ll receive the same flat-edged design that Apple hasn’t updated in more than three years. On the other hand, the initial iPad Pro design from 2015 lasted only three years.

It had thick bezels, a home button, and a single rear camera, all comparable to the current iPad. Gurman claims that the entry-level iPad will finally ditch the bezels and use a USB-C port instead of a proprietary lightning port. He also claims that Apple is still working on a port-free iPhone and iPad.

New MacBook Pros “are on track to ship in the near future,” although most likely not this month according to the reports. Apple is also working on an M2 version of the Mac mini, which will be the company’s first update to its smallest Mac in two years. Apple TV with an A14 CPU and 4GB of memory could be available shortly. The previous Apple TV has an A12 CPU and 3GB of storage.

Finally, Apple is to develop a new dock for iPads. It would be comparable to the dock Google just revealed for its impending Pixel tablet. The dock effectively transforms the tablet into a smart display for home gadgets. If confirmed, the iPads will compete with the Amazon Echo Show.
