Apple is now entering the final stage of preparations for its next major software update. iOS 27 has been in beta testing for months, and a fresh leak has revealed a possible release timeline for the update ahead of Apple's September iPhone event.
According to a post shared by tipster TOTTI, Apple's final developer and public beta builds could arrive around August 31 and September 1, followed by the company's September event on September 9. The same leak claims that Apple could release the final iOS 27 update to the public on September 14 or 15.
Apple has officially confirmed that its next event will take place on September 9 at 10 a.m. PT.
iOS 27 Release Date Leaked
The leaked schedule suggests that Apple could follow a familiar pattern before releasing iOS 27 to all eligible iPhone users.
The timeline shared in the post is:
- August 31 / September 1: Developer Beta 8 and Public Beta 6
- September 9: Apple event and expected Release Candidate (RC)
- September 14/15: Public rollout of iOS 27
The September 9 event is officially confirmed, but the exact iOS 27 public release date has not yet been announced by Apple. Recent reports have also pointed towards a mid-September release, with September 14 being considered a likely date.
This means Apple could release the final version of iOS 27 just a few days after its major iPhone event.

iOS 27 Brings New Features to iPhone
