Infinix 260W Wired, 110W Wireless Fast Charging Technology: Details
The new 260W tech builds on the brand’s existing 180W Thunder Charge tech. And has upgraded from a dual 8C battery to a new single 12C battery. With a 4-pump circuit design that intelligently identifies power requirements and allocates the number of charge pumps needed.
Moreover, the company claims that its fast charging technology can fill a battery from 0 to 25 per cent in just one minute (wired) and 0 to 100% in under 8 minutes. In contrast, its wireless technology can charge the device from 0 to 100% in just 16 minutes. Infinix claims that the charging efficiency of the new tech is 98.5 per cent. And a 4,400mAh battery used for testing can retain 90 per cent of its initial capacity after 1,000 cycles.
Furthermore, the charger makes use of a combination of GaN material and AHB circuit infrastructure with high power density. The cable can carry a current of up to 13A to make sure that the device receives the designated 260W charge.
Moreover, the company has also introduced a custom-made charger with a dual-coil design. Which will charge both in vertical and horizontal orientation. The charging station also has a fan for heat dissipation. Infinix has confirmed that the new charging tech will arrive with an upcoming Infinix Note series smartphone later this year.
