According to a new report, Google will launch the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro on October 19. The two phones were announced last month, and a Google executive teased some of the specifications while showcasing their design. Google had previously stated that the Pixel 6 series would be launching later this year, and it now appears that we have a date for Google’s launch event. In addition, a purported store leak suggests that the Pixel 6 would feature 23W wireless charging.
Although Google has not announced a release date, a source from Jon Prosser’s Front Page Tech website claims that the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be available for pre-order on October 19 and will be available in shops on October 28.

While the exact date of Google’s launch event is unknown, Prosser notes that pre-orders begin on October 19, which could coincide with the company’s “MadeByGoogle” event.
A Chinese source just revealed that the Pixel 6 series will debut on September 13, a day before the rumoured Apple event. According to Prosser, the September 13 release date is wrong, and it will arrive around a month later.

Google Pixel 6 Series Specifications
The standard Pixel 6 has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the Pixel 6 Pro has a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones have an in-display fingerprint scanner and a hole-punch camera cutout on the top of the screen.

The Pixel 6 features a dual-camera layout on the back, while the Pixel 6 Pro has a triple-camera layout. The resolution of the sensor is still unknown. Google has announced that the Pixel 6 Pro sports a 4x telephoto lens and the same main and ultrawide cameras as the standard Pixel 6. The smartphones, according to reports, include a 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor. Other details will emerge later this year during the event.
