Dell has updated its premium XPS series laptops with the latest Intel chipsets. Dell XPS 15 9570 and Dell XPS 17 9700 will now come with Intel’s 12th-generation Alder Lake-H processors. Laptops will now be available in three new CPU configurations due to this. These will include the Intel Core i5-12500H, Core i7-12700H, and Core i9-12900HK processors. These chips have clocked speeds of 4.5GHz, 4.7GHz, and 5GHz.

As of now, the top-tier i9-12900HK option is only available on the XPS 15. Aside from the new CPUs, Dell’s XPS lineup now has DDR5-4800 RAM. Surprisingly, this will support up to 64GB of memory. Everything else about the laptops remains unchanged.
For those unaware, the company launched the XPS 15 and XPS 17 in India in August of last year, with prices starting at Rs. 2,23,990. Dell’s premium laptops were equipped with 11th Gen Intel Core i9H processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics on the XPS 17.
Except for the 12th-generation Intel chips, the revised models are essentially unchanged. The new XPS 15 and XPS 17 retain a durable, lightweight design, with a 15.6-inch 16:10 display on the XPS 15 and a 17-inch display on the XPS 17.
The two laptops have both touchscreen and non-touchscreen options, with resolutions of 3840 x 2400 pixels and 1920 x 1200 pixels, respectively.

The new laptops have up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 RAM spread across two channels. Storage capacities of 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD are available. The XPS laptops allow for total storage expansion of up to 8TB. Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an SD card reader are on the XPS 15 and XPS 17.
Dell has priced the new XPS 15 2022 at $1,449, approximately Rs. 1,10,500. The XPS 17 starts at $1,849, approximately
Rs. 1,41,000. It is unclear when the new models will be available in India.
