Krafton Labs, the creators of the popular Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) game, announced a partnership with Solana Labs on Wednesday to support blockchain-based games. For those who are unfamiliar with Solana, it is a decentralized blockchain that outperforms Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other blockchains.

Solana is a decentralized computer network based on a distributed ledger called the blockchain. The concept came by Anatoly Yakovenko. The company claims to be the quickest blockchain in the world, with the potential to validate 65,000 transactions per second for less than a penny each.

One transaction on the Solana blockchain network reduces energy consumption more than two Google searches and less power than charging your phone, according to the Solana Foundation.

Since then, Seoul Auction Blue, XX Blue, and NAVER Z have announced investments and collaborations with the company in additional industries connected to NFT, metaverse, and blockchain (Zepeto).
