Asus has launched the ROG Strix Arion S500 portable SSD in India now. It’s a DRAM SSD with a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port for connectivity. The external SSD has a transfer speed of up to 1,050MBps, which is excellent for big file transfers. It boasts a sleek aluminium chassis that not only adds to its unique appearance but also helps it stay cool. The Asus ROG SSD features Aura Sync lighting and the ROG SSD Dashboard software for simple management.

Asus ROG Strix Arion S500 Price in India
According to a press release, the Asus ROG Strix Arion S500 will be available for purchase in September for Rs. 13,500. There are currently no additional details available. The SSD is yet to be added to the official website. It comes in black colour with an illuminated ROG logo.
The ROG Strix Arion enclosure, which can be used to mount M.2 SSDs of various sizes, is also available separately from Asus.

As the name implies, the Asus ROG Strix Arion S500 has a 500GB storage capacity. It can transfer data at up to 1,050MBps, which is up to 12 times faster than normal external HDDs, according to Asus. It’s a Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) SSD, which means it’s faster than DRAM-less SSDs in most circumstances when it comes to determining where data is stored. It has an SLC cache, which means that each SSD cell can only hold one bit of data. This extends its life and improves its performance.
The Asus ROG Strix Arion S500 portable SSD features 256-bit AES disc and data encryption, as well as NTI Backup Now EZ software to protect data from dangerous virus attacks and hardware failures. The ROG SSD Dashboard application allows you to effortlessly manage SSD statistics like disc temperature, storage information, and health status.

It has an aluminium chassis with integrated thermal pads that effectively disperse heat. It connects through a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port and works with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, macOS Catalina or later, and Android smartphones that support OTG. The RGB logo on the SSD is controllable using Aura Syn.
