Apple announced on Monday that it will be acquiring Primephonic, a classical music streaming service, and will create a specialised app for the genre.

Apple did not disclose exactly how much it paid for Primephonic in Europe, but the company confirms that it will be part of the iPhone maker’s music service.

The Primephonic team says in the post, “We felt compelled to develop a streaming service that truly gets classical right – so that’s what we did over the last three years”.
