Every enthusiastic gamer must have heard of the Mass Effect title, which has made ripples in the gaming universe. Mass Effect director, Casey Hudson is now working on a all new science fiction universe and has offered valuable insights into his current project.
Hudson worked at BioWare for over two decades and worked on two major stints. Between 1998 and 2014, he served as project director for Knights of the Old Republic. He was also a key figure in the creation of the original Mass Effect trilogy that shook the gaming industry. Following his departure from BioWare back in December 2020, he founded Humanoid Studios in June 2021.

Casey Hudson is Working on an All New Science Fiction Universe
The official website of Humanoid Studios states, “Our current project is a multi-platform AAA game, focusing on character-driven narrative in an all-new science-fiction universe.”
Hudson took a break from BioWare and worked with Microsoft on HoloLens. After his return as BioWare boss in July 2017, he helped in the release of Anthem. Further, he also greenlit the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. This was one of the very early works of the new generation of the Mass Effect franchise.

Talking about his new team, Hudson says, “By combining excellence in the arts with innovative technologies, video games have the extraordinary power to transport you to new worlds of adventure. That’s what first inspired me to make games, and it’s at the heart of what we do at Humanoid Studios.”
