Vivo T2 5G Design and Build
Vivo T2 5G comes with a sleek and stylish look. The phone has a plastic back which reflects different colours as the light falls on it. It features a frosted textured finish which feels good in the hands. The frames are also made of plastic and are flat, which offers a good grip.
There are two big camera lenses on the back which catch the eyes from far. I really loved how Vivo has made such an attractive design at this price point. Moreover, the phone weighs just about 172 grams, which makes it quite lightweight and easy to carry.

The front side of the phone might give out a vibe of a dated phone. I am saying this because of the water-drop notch and thick chin at the bottom. Keeping that aside, the phone comes with an IP54 rating to protect it from water and dust.
Talking about ports and buttons, the right side has the power button along with volume rockers. The left side is clean, while the top has a SIM card slot. The bottom side holds the type-C port, loudspeaker, 3.5mm audio jack and primary mic.
Vivo T2 5G Camera
The Vivo T2 5G features a dual camera setup on the back which captures really good photos in daylight conditions. This includes a 64MP OIS main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The front side has a 16MP camera for taking selfies and video calls.
Starting with the 64MP OIS camera, the lens amazed me the amount of detail and clarity it captures. The photos come out really punchy and vibrant with good dynamic range. Colours were well-balanced, not too warm, not too cold.
All in all, they looked quite pleasing to the eye. Even the portrait shots were great. Be it the edge detection or the background blur; everything was on point. Low-light shots were good as well.

Coming over to the front side, the 16MP camera tends to capture bright and clear selfies. I could zoom in and see my bread hair. Yes, the selfies were a little boosted with the help of beauty mode. But you can disable that for a more natural shot.
Vivo T2 5G Battery and Charging
Vivo T2 5G packs a 4500 mAh battery which is slightly smaller than the 5000 mAh battery on the T1. Nonetheless, the phone offers a decent battery backup.
A light user can easily get more than one day of battery backup. While a heavy user, who likes to play games, will need to plug in the charger by the evening. I got almost 6 hours of screen on time.
Even though the battery size has been reduced, the charging speed has been increased from 18W to 44W. The 44W fast charger takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to fully charge the phone from 0 to 100 per cent. Well, it’s not the fastest but enough for a casual user.
Vivo T2 5G Display
Vivo T2 5G features an FHD+ 6.38 inches AMOLED display. It comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. Not a lot of phones offer such brightness levels at this price point.
Vivo T2 gets pretty bright and I did not face any issues even while using it under direct sunlight. You get three refresh rate options in the settings: 60Hz, 90Hz and Smart Switch. Talking about the display quality, the AMOLED display offers a great viewing experience.

The contents on the screen appear vibrant and punchy. The viewing angles are great as well with deep blacks. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube and my experience was nice.
It comes with Widevine L1 and HDR support, so you can stream high-quality content on OTT platforms like Netflix and Prime Videos. Yes, the water drop notch and slightly thicker chin looks a bit dated but the overall experience remains pretty good.
Vivo T2 5G Performance and Software
Vivo T2 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset which is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While this is not the best performing phone under 20K, it still handles every day with ease.
Apps like Instagram and Snapchat ran flawlessly. Texting on WhatsApp, making calls, watching videos on YouTube, everything ran perfectly without any hiccups. It’s a great phone for casual use, but what about gaming?
I tried playing Asphalt 9 and CoD Mobile. Both the games could run on low to medium settings. While you can even play on high settings, but the gameplay lags and the performance starts to suffer. I played for about an hour and did not notice any signs of heating at all, which is great.

Vivo T2 5G runs on FunTouch OS 13 skin which is based on Android 13. I appreciate Vivo for providing the latest Android version out of the box. The UI is nice and simple. There were no major bugs that I noticed. All the apps ran properly without crashing.
Keeping that aside, the phone is packed with bloatware which sends annoying notifications. These apps include Moj, ShareChat, Josh, Hot Games, Hot Apps, PhonePe, Daily Hunt and many more. Good thing is that you can uninstall most of them.
Vivo T2 5G is a solid option, providing an all-rounder value for money proposition under 20K. You get a nice design, lightweight build and AMOLED display for a good viewing experience. The main camera takes amazing shots and getting Android 13 out of the box is the cherry on top.
While the battery backup is average, the 44W fast charging speed is good enough for a casual user. All in all, the Vivo T2 5G can be a viable option for someone who wants an all-rounder package under 20K.
