The Gionee F205 can be a latecomer to the affordable smartphones range, but it comes with a few useful features that can appeal to a lot of people who could use a robust phone as well as integrated with a modern viewing setup at a reasonably low price!

By far as one of the best-looking smartphones in this price range by Gionee, this device has smoothly rounded edges, a plastic unibody and thin bezels design. With the dimensions of 148.40 x 70.70 x 7.95mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 135.60 grams, the F205 fits easily into your hands without even feeling any heavier. The matte finish gives a nice touch to the overall design but can’t do much to protect for fingerprint glares on the surface.
The F205 houses a 5.45-inch Color IPS LCD screen (16M) Multi-Touch Capacitive Screen had a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 73.1% screen to body ratio. It also has a pixel per inch density of 295 that makes it an excellent choice for watching sharp images and videos. However, when compared to the other Gionee phones at a higher price, the display appears to be a bit washed out on the colours, but at this price range, the display screen of Gionee won’t bother people a lot.
Featuring a MediaTek MT6739 Quad Core processor working on a speed of 1.3 GHz, 2GB RAM, this phone works smoothly for a bit more than the normal every day activities by the user. But, in the case of continuous usage and 3D games, the processor can get too worked up and freeze here and now for some users. It also comes with an MG PowerVR GE8100 GPU; the F205 offers enhanced performance for a relatively low price.
The combination of 5MP in the front and 8MP in the rear camera isn’t the strong point of this device. The selfie bokeh feature struggles with the edges and the backlight couldn’t do any better to cancel out the noise from the images in low-light.
The F205 has a non-removable 2670 mAh Li-ion battery that has enough backup capability which makes it easier to be adequately operated in transit.
The F205 tries very hard to give a stiff competition to the other high-value phones from brands like Xiaomi and Samsung, with the 18:9 displays and matte finish body designs as the most significant shots. Despite that, the F205 misses quite a couple of points for its camera, processors and most importantly late arrivals in this game of reasonable prices. So, if you would like to have a contemporary phone that can perform delicate and won’t disappoint in battery backup – this might be the right choice for intermediate users.
